Hampden police investigating car burglaries

By Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN Staff

HAMPDEN, Maine — At least half a dozen people woke up Tuesday morning to find their vehicles had been broken into, Hampden Police Chief Joe Rogers said.

“We’ve had a number of car burglaries on the Old County Road, Hamel [Avenue] and Wheelden Heights,” Rogers said.

Officers Shawn Devine and Chris Bailey were still investigating the burglaries at around 10:30 a.m., so Rogers did not yet have information on what items might have been stolen. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
