MILLINOCKET – Eileen S. James, 55, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born July 10, 1956, in Millinocket, daughter of Henry C. Gagnon and Eleanor M. Powers.
Eileen was most known for contributions to and participation in everything around her. Her passions were her family, children and grandchildren. Her selflessness was well known through her volunteering and strength to those in need. Lately, Eileen enjoyed the relationships with family and everyone she came into contact with. She loved gathering with others at her home to share karaoke. She also was very talented in beading, knitting and crocheting. Eileen will be remembered as an inspiration to others.
In addition to her father, Henry "Buster" Gagnon and his wife, Mildred, of Oakfield, Eileen is survived by her soul mate, Roger Tardiff of Millinocket; two sons, Vincent Dale Staples and his wife, April, of Millinocket, and Joshua Staples of Portland; two grandchildren, Anna-Marie and Lillee; four sisters, Donna Quale of Florida, Madeline Rossignol of Lewiston, Carolyn Donley of Millinocket and Nancy Young of Caribou; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Eleanor and Rod James; sister, Lois James; and two brothers, Henry James and Rickie Jernigan.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Ralph Jacobs, pastor, officiating.
