WATERVILLE, Maine — No children were injured in a minor accident Thursday involving a school bus and a car at the intersection of First Rangeway, Chase and Western Avenues, police said Friday.

The driver of the car hit the bus carrying junior high school students and an aide just after the driver stopped on Chase Avenue.

It was a minor accident, Waterville Police Chief Joseph Massey said.

“There were only four children that were on the bus,” he said, and no injuries were reported in the accident.
