Transportation professionals, officials converge at Augusta conference

AUGUSTA, Maine — More than 500 people are attending a conference in Augusta that focuses on the latest in transportation.

The 61st annual Maine Transportation Conference is being held Thursday at the Augusta Civic Center. Attendees include transportation contractors, planners and design engineers as well as state and municipal officials.

The conference features panel sessions, talks from transportation experts and more than 60 exhibitors. The event is sponsored by the Maine Department of Transportation, the Maine Better Transportation Association and the Maine section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
