By Kevin Miller, BDN Staff

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 65-year-old Ellsworth man who has been missing since Friday, Nov. 25.

David Washington is described as standing 5 feet 7 inches tall with a slim build and a full white and brownish beard that extends to his chest. He is slightly balding but has hair on the back of his head.

Washington often wears jeans, a sweatshirt and a baseball cap and is described as a heavy smoker. He is a regular customer at the Irving and Mobil stations on High Street in the mornings and often spends his days at either Charlie’s Pizza, which is near his home, or Ellsworth Public Library. Police said Washington always walks between the locations.

Detective Dottie Small with the Ellsworth Police Department said Washington’s friends in the community are concerned because he has not been following his usual routine and has not been seen since last Friday.

If you have information on Washington’s whereabouts, contact the Ellsworth Police Department at 667-2168. Additional information and a video of Washington is also posted on the department’s Facebook page.
