I’ve got a multifunction watch with a barometer, altimeter and thermometer on it that provides a lot of techie info while hiking or camping.
But it can be inconvenient on your wrist under your jacket and that also gives you a wrong reading on the outside temperature because the watch is protected.
I like to know the outside temperature when hiking or the temperature in the camper on those frosty mornings. So I got a Celestron TrekGuide multifunction weather tool that I hang in the camper or on my pack for checking out the temperature. It’s fun knowing that it’s 20 degrees when you’re on the river.
The TrekGuide is fun because it’s so handy. It also features a digital compass with headings and degrees for navigation. The altimeter measures altitude in both feet and meters and the barometer shows barometric air pressure and sea pressure. I like the weather forecast which is displayed with easy-to-understand icons. The sun appears for fair weather. Clouds appear for cloudy weather.
The whole gadget is easy to read and handy.
