Lyman man with outstanding warrant picks up more charges

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

LYMAN, Maine — A York County man who had an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines is facing more charges after he failed to cooperate with authorities, police said.

Major William King of York County said deputies were investigating a theft complaint Monday night and were directed to the residence of Kenneth Huff Jr., age unknown.

When Huff was questioned, a deputy discovered the warrant and tried to take him into custody, but Huff resisted. He eventually was subdued and taken into custody.

Huff is facing charges of refusing to submit to an arrest, disorderly conduct and assault on a police officer.

Huff appeared in court on Wednesday afternoon, King said, and the results of the hearing are pending.
