BREWER, Maine — An accident on Wilson Street in which a pedestrian suffered serious injuries Tuesday evening remained under investigation Wednesday.

Police continued to withhold the names and ages of the victim, described as a male, and motorist or motorists involved.

Brewer police Lt. Chris Martin said Wednesday that information about the victim’s medical condition was not immediately available and that additional details about the accident likely won’t be released until Thursday.

The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Mullen Way and Wilson Street and the man who was injured was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

An accident reconstruction is being performed by Brewer police Officer Jeff Gotreau.
