SACO, Maine — A Biddeford man is in the hospital recovering from stab wounds and head injuries and two people are under arrest following a weekend altercation on a bridge that connects Saco and Biddeford.
Police say the received a report just after 1 a.m. on Sunday about an altercation on the Elm Street Bridge.
After an investigation, police charged 20-year-old Jonathan Dowd with elevated aggravated assault and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and 21-year-old Tamer Tilahun with elevated aggravated and violation of conditions of release.
The victim, whose name was not made public, was assaulted with a knife and a brick. He was treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland. His injuries are serious but not considered life-threatening.
