Police seeking man accused of kicking in woman’s door, assaulting her boyfriend

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a man wanted in connection with a home invasion that took place in the city last night.

Presque Isle police Sgt. Mark Barnes said the incident took place at approximately 10:35 p.m.

Barnes said a woman called 911 to report that a man, identified by police as Jeffrey Sock, 35, had kicked in her front door and assaulted her boyfriend.

Sock fled the scene before the police arrived and was unable to be located.

Police immediately issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of burglary, assault and criminal mischief.

Information on his hometown was not immediately available.
