Wells Bank of America robbed, police seeking suspect

WELLS, Maine — Police in Wells are seeking a suspect who robbed a Bank of America branch.

Police say a robber entered the bank at the Wells Plaza on Route 1 around 10 a.m. Saturday, demanded money and left on foot with an unknown amount of cash. No weapon was shown and nobody was hurt.

The suspect is described as a white man between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 185 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray hoodie ripped at the collar, a blue knit cap and blue jeans.
