PITTSFIELD – Beverly W. Kitchen, 69, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in Bangor. She was born Feb. 4, 1942, in Connecticut, daughter of the late Edward and Beatrice (Lanoue) Wustrack.
Beverly attended Chester Elementary and Valley Regional High School in Connecticut. She married Roland Kitchen and together they raised their family. She was a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader, and volunteered at Bridgeport Activity League. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing computer games. She was a strong woman who didn’t allow her illness to discourage her. She loved her family, enjoyed life and liked to joke around. She will be lovingly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Lesley Marie Kitchen of Hartland; son, Edward Kitchen and wife, Andrea, of Hartland; grandchildren, Adelaide Beatrice Kitchen and Roland Sanford Kitchen, both of Hartland; brother, Donald Wustrack of Essex, Conn.; nephew, Anthony Bick and wife, Rose, of St. Albans; nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Kitchen; and sister, Lois Bick.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at First Congregational Church of Christ, 132 Somerset Ave., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Kathi Smith officiating. Interment will be after at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to Dialysis Care of Maine-Boyd Center, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O.
