Sanford man indicted for manslaughter in connection with February crash

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

ALFRED, Maine — A Sanford man has been indicted for manslaughter in the wake of a drunken driving accident in February that claimed the life of a Wells man.

York County Sheriff’s Major William King said in a news release that David Brennan, 21, has been indicted in connection in the death of Cale Boston, 26, of Wells.

Brennan was driving Boston’s car on Route 202 in Waterboro in February when the vehicle left the road and struck a snowbank, according to the release. Boston was ejected from the vehicle and died of his injuries at Maine Medical Center two days after the crash.

Investigators had said that they weren’t sure who was driving, but eventually determined that Brennan was behind the wheel and that his statements to police were not consistent with their findings.
