Woman robbed in Freeport parking garage

FREEPORT, Maine — An armed robber reportedly accosted a woman late Saturday night in the parking garage of the Freeport Village Station shopping mall.

According to a press release issued Sunday, Freeport police continue to investigate the incident in which the victim said she lost her wallet and other items from her purse.

The woman told police she was not injured during the holdup, which was reported at around 10 p.m. Saturday.

Freeport police and a Bath Police Department tracking dog searched the area after the report but did not locate a suspect. As of Sunday night, the investigation was ongoing as police reviewed security camera footage.
