Outlook: The Black Bears open their season in “The Pit” against the Clippers hoping to begin developing chemistry with a handful of newcomers trying to work their way into the mix. UMaine-Machias has four games under its belt, including Saturday’s 91-68 loss to Daemen College. UMaine will look to try to exploit its frontcourt size but must rebound well across the board to limit second shots. The Bears, who feature senior McLemore’s 3-point proficiency, also must limit UMM’s 3-point opportunities. The Clippers have moved from the Sunrise Conference to the Yankee Small College Conference, a member of the United States Small College Athletic Association.
