BRADFORD, Maine — State police and medical examiners hope to determine early this week what killed a 71-year-old construction company owner from Hudson whose body was found near his pickup truck on Bear Road, a state police spokesman said.
David Trask, owner of David P. Trask & Son Inc., was found about 2 p.m. Saturday near land he owned. State police detectives from Bangor have been interviewing family, friends and neighbors since then to determine the circumstances surrounding his death, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
“I think we have some leads that we are pursuing but am I going to reveal them? No, not at this point,” McCausland said Sunday, “not until we are further along. Nothing has been determined yet.”
An autopsy was conducted Sunday on Trask’s body but results are being withheld pending further investigation.
A spokeswoman from the medical examiner’s office declined to comment on Sunday.
A listing at the small-business website manta.com described the Hudson construction company as having been established in 1979 and employing a half-dozen workers.
