From 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, the Muddy Rudder at 5 South Main St. in Brewer will offer to veterans a complimentary meal from the custom Veterans Day menu created by Chef Scott McKenzie. This offer is available to active-duty, retired, National Guard and Reserve military personnel.
The Veterans Day menu and the regular menu will be available at regular prices to family members, who are also invited to attend.
Chef McKenzie’s exclusive Veterans Day menu includes carved turkey, pork roast, Mediterranean pasta and a true Maine shepherd’s pie.
The Muddy Rudder has a long-standing tradition of hosting a Veterans Day Dinner, and this year will be no different. New proprietors Mike and Sharine Kessock “are proud to host dinner for the men and women that have served in the military, as they are truly the backbone of this country.”
