PITTSFIELD, Maine — Donna Chale was elected over Crystal Witham for the District 3 Town Council seat on Tuesday.

In the only contested race on the ballot, Chale defeated Witham 145-114 to fill the seat vacated by Bill Bradshaw in July.

Gary Jordan Jr. and Caleb Curtis essentially swapped positions on the council.

Jordan won an uncontested race for the District 2 Town Council seat. He received 176 votes.

Curtis, who is the current District 2 councilor, was voted in as the councilor-at-large, the seat currently held by Jordan. Curtis received 737 votes.

Three positions were filled on the SAD 53 board. Incumbents Michelle Hodgins and Christine Cookson were both re-elected. Hodgins received 666 votes and Cookson had 371. Write-in candidate Nanette Ardry was also elected, receiving 38 votes.
