BANGOR — Like Wii Sports, Guitar Hero and Dance, Dance Revolution? Join fellow gamers at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, for National Gaming Day @ Your Library at the Bangor Public Library. The library will participate in National Gaming Day @ Your Library, an American Library Association event. This will be the library’s second straight year as a participant. Last year was a big success. The library hopes to have an even bigger gaming day this year. All participants will be eligible for an hourly drawing of a $20 Game Citadel gift card. The grand prize drawing is for a $50 gift card for Game Citadel.

There will be three video games systems available: a Wii, a Playstation 2, and an Xbox. The library owns Wii Party, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. For the PS2, the popular Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero 3 will be available, allowing contestants to show off dancing and guitar skills. The library has no games for the Xbox, but welcomes anyone who attends Gaming Day to bring in “Teen” or younger rated games to play. Games for the other systems may also be shared as time allows throughout the day.

Players are also welcome to bring in any board or card games they would like to share and play with new players. Traditional board games like Monopoly and Clue will also be available at the library.

Contact Patrick Layne at the library with any questions or suggestions at playne@bpl.lib.me.us or 947-8336, ext. 127
