BANGOR, Maine — Someone broke into Hands of Hope last week but police are releasing few details about the crime, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday.

“I can tell you we are investigating a burglary at Hands of Hope,” the sergeant said, describing the crime as a forced entry.

The call about the break-in was reported at 4:30 a.m. Friday. The burglary reportedly occurred sometime after the Hogan Road thrift store closed Thursday, Edwards said.

Those with information about the case may call the Bangor Police Department at 947-7382. The department’s anonymous tip line can be reached by pressing extension 6. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
