Maine Pellet Fuels Association elects new vice president
Matt Bell, owner and president of Northeast Pellets, LLC in Ashland, was elected as vice president of the Maine Pellet Fuels Association. Bell is a native of Aroostook County and was named The County’s top young entrepreneur at an annual meeting of northern Maine’s two economic development organizations, the Aroostook Partnership for Progress and Leaders Encouraging Aroostook Development.
Lohmann Animal Health International names new country manager
Winslow-based Lohmann Animal Health International has named Travis Boatwright new country manager, U.S. commodities. Boatwright represents the company’s commodity vitamins product line. Boatwright will be responsible for the sale of Lohmann’s line of commodity vitamins for the United States. Boatwright, is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
J.C. Milliken Agency has a new employee
J.C. Milliken Agency welcomes back employee Sally Pearce of Orland as the producer for their commercial lines department. Pearce lives in Orland and has been a licensed agent since 2008. She will be expanding the client base in Hancock County and the surrounding areas.
Hollywood Slots names director of finance
Rachel Bailey, a native of Fairfield, has been promoted to director of finance at Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway. Bailey will to oversee all accounting operations at the facility as well as information technology, compliance, analysis and planning, revenue audit, player services and purchasing. Bailey graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Maine in Orono in 1991 and began working for Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway in 2005.
Androscoggin bank names senior vice president
Barry L. Kohler has joined the Androscoggin Trust staff as senior vice president and director of Trust & Investment Services, where he will be overseeing the financial planning, trust and investment services and brokerage areas of the company. Kohler graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his joint degree from Cornell Law School.
Hollywood Slots employee promoted to director of marketing
Michele Collins of Holden has been promoted to director of marketing at Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway. The former direct mail manager at Hollywood Slots will be responsible for developing marketing strategies, including efforts for existing and new businesses, as well as media and advertising planning. Collins earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and began working at Hollywood Slots in July 2009.
Coastal Med Tech promotes employee to vice president
John Thayer of Hampden has been promoted to vice president of Coastal Med Tech Inc. in Bangor, an oxygen and medical equipment company with six locations statewide. Thayer is a registered respiratory therapist who graduated from Kennebec Valley Technical College in 1995. He has worked as the Hermon branch manager since 2002. He manages the newest retail location that opened in September at 364 State St. in Bangor.
