PechaKucha Night planned as part of conference

CAMDEN, Maine — Join the creative conversation for a PechaKucha Night at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Camden Opera House. Ten artists, writers, entrepreneurs and makers have been chosen to show 20 images for 20 seconds each, a fast-paced and engaging program to be followed by discussion and socializing. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The event is presented in conjunction with the Juice 3.0 Conference. Admission is $5.

The lineup of presenters for the evening will be Elisabeth Tova Bailey, author of “The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating”; Aaron Fedarko, furniture maker; Nicole Marie Fuller, photographer; David Jacobson, glass artist and cartoonist; Amber Lambke, Somerset Grist Mill; Reba Richardson, Hatchet Cove Farm; Bill Ronalds, graphic artist and illustrator; Caitlin Shetterly, author of “Made for You and Me: Going West, Going Broke, Finding Home”; Alex Steed, producer of Food Coma TV; and Jeff Wolovitz, Heiwa Tofu. Emcee will be poet Arielle Greenberg Bywater of Belfast.

PechaKucha Night Midcoast Maine spans the midcoast from Thomaston to Belfast. The organizing partners include Midcoast Magnet, Waterfall Arts, the Farnsworth Art Museum, Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors, and various creative community members.
