UMF men’s soccer team blanks Thomas

FARMINGTON — Nick Grim, Sean Raph and Luiz Ristow each scored a goal to help UMaine-Farmington finish the regular season with a 3-0 men’s soccer victory over Thomas College Tuesday.

Jordan Hale added an assist for 9-7 UMF and Derek Reilly made five saves.

Mikkhail Crockwell finished with two saves for 10-6 Thomas of Waterville.

Women’s soccer

MIT 5, Husson 1

At Cambridge, Mass., Emily Kuo scored the first two goals of the game to spark the Engineers to victory.

Jessica Ong, Ambika Krishnamachar and Michaelann Rodriguez tallied a goal apiece for Massachusetts Institute of Technology (11-3-2). Emilee Johnson and Megan Wright combined to make one save on three shots.

Katie DeShane scored off an Alexandra Laniewski assist for 7-11 Husson University of Bangor. Jessica Poulin and Jade Keezer teamed up to make seven saves on 16 shots.

Field hockey

NE College 3, So. Maine 1

At Henniker, N.H., Emily Kuchta scored two goals to spark the Pilgrims to victory over the Huskies.

Rachael Hunt scored the other goal for 10-8 New England College, with Katherine Rich registered two assists and Jennifer Adams one. Mary Roux made six saves for the winners.

Rachel Trafton scored off a Bethany Bougie assist for 8-11 University of Southern Maine of Gorham. Kayla Kennedy made 12 saves.
