Children and adults are invited to take part in the Camden Public Library’s Great Pumpkin Palooza beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the library’s outdoor amphitheatre.

CAMDEN, Maine — Young and old are invited to bring jack-o’-lanterns for the Great Pumpkin Palooza on Thursday, Oct. 27, in the amphitheater at Camden Public Library. The grand lighting of the pumpkins will begin at 7:15 p.m.

“Share your creative carving genius and bring your pumpkin to show it off!” said Amy Hand, children’s librarian. “All ages and carving talents are welcome and encouraged to participate. Get carving and let’s see how many pumpkins we can light up on the amphitheatre steps. Let’s go for a record number. This is a great way for more people to enjoy your jack-o’-lantern.” Plan to take your pumpkin home after the event.

Hand will host children and families craft-making, with stories, games and artwork at 6 p.m. Hand suggests that attendees wear costumes for the Halloween spooktacular.

For more information, call the Camden Public Library at 236-3440.
