WASHBURN — The third-seeded Washburn Beavers recorded a 7-0 boys soccer victory over the No. 14 Fort Fairfield Tigers in an Eastern Maine Class D prelim Friday.

The Beavers will host No. 6 Woodland in a Tuesday quarterfinal round game.

Jordan McLaughlin scored two goals as he broke the Washburn scoring record by scoring his 81st career goal for the Beavers.

Mitchell Worcester tallied a hat trick and pitched in an assist for Washburn, and Nick Bragg contributed two goals and two assists. Ethan Pendexter notched two assists, and Cameron Bragg dished out an assist.

Zach Davis made eight saves on 11 shots for 11-2-1 Washburn. Dereck Dufour made nine saves on 24 shots for 2-11-2 Fort Fairfield.
