BELFAST, Maine — Waterfall Arts and the Belfast Farmers Market extended appreciation to the Bangor Savings Bank Foundation for funding repair and a fresh surface on the back parking lot of the arts center at 256 High St., now home base to farmers and vendors at the Belfast Farmers’ Market. The grant made the space shopper-friendly as well as safe for the cookie-munching children who tag along with farmers and shoppers each Friday morning.
As construction got under way on the Front Street Shipyard last spring, the farmers market realized it needed to find a new location.
When locating the market at Waterfall Arts became a possibility, it was noted that cracks and potholes in the back lot needed to be addressed. Bangor Savings Bank responded to the need for repairs with a grant.
