PORTLAND, Maine — A personal chef from Kennebunkport has been crowned Maine’s Lobster Chef of the Year.
Thomas Reagan won the title Friday at the Harvest on the Harbor food and wine festival in Portland.
For the competition, an audience of 200 lobster enthusiasts, journalists and industry representatives voted on lobster dishes prepared by Reagan and two other chefs.
Regan won with his dish of Trio of Slow Poached Lobster Tail Nipponese.
The other finalists were Kristin Burrin from The Seasons restaurant in Stonington and Ryan Campbell from the Lake Parlin Lodge and Cabins in Parlin Pond Township.
The Lobster Chef of the Year competition is put on every year by the Maine Lobster Promotion Council.
