BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police have charged three young men in the wake of an investigation in which police received 53 calls of damage to windows.

Bangor Police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Wednesday that Freeman Weeks, 18, of Bangor and two 17-year-olds, one from Bucksport and the other from Lamoine, were arrested and charged with Class C felony aggravated criminal mischief.

Edwards said calls to the department’s tip line, along with extra effort by Bangor Police Officer Rob Angelo, resulted in the location of the suspects, who allegedly drove around in a car and caused damage to windows using a slingshot and projectiles.

Interviews with the men were conducted by Detectives David Bushey and Larry Morrill.
