BATH, Maine — A traffic stop led to a drug bust for police Saturday night, and a Bath man is facing drug trafficking charges.
Jason Keenan, 32, was charged with drug trafficking after he was pulled over for having a broken license plate light, according to a press release.
Keenan’s vehicle was stopped on Drayton Road at 11 p.m. Saturday, and Officer Michelle Small’s K-9 unit was called in and the dog made a positive ID for drugs in the car. Officers subsequently searched the vehicle and discovered a pound of marijuana and more than $7,000.
Keenan was arrested and released on $1,000 bail, and his first court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 13.
A passenger in the car, Marcel Gosselin, 32, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
