PENOBSCOT, Maine — The Penobscot Nursing Home and Living Center will host an open house 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 15, offering tours of the building, a barbecue luncheon, live blues music and a bake sale that will benefit the residents’ activity fund.
“This will be an opportunity to meet the management team, learn of new programs in place and celebrate with residents, families and staff,” said Irving Faunce, administrator of the 96-bed facility.
The music will be performed by Bob Wallace and fellow musicians. In addition, there will be an exhibit of arts and crafts created by residents and treats for children.
Faunce said the celebration honors the staff at the facility and recognizes the many positive changes that they have helped to put into place over the past six months.
