WAYNE M. O. LABREE

LARGO, Fla., and BANGOR – Wayne M. O. LaBree, 69, died Oct. 11, 2011, in Largo, Fla. He was born May 18, 1942, in Old Town, son of Otis N. and Beatrice N. (Rice) LaBree.

Wayne graduated from Houlton High School, Class of 1961, and then joined the U.S. Navy for four years. Returning to Maine. he became a police officer and went on to own LaBree Associates. He was a ship’s captain in later life. Wayne was a founding member and former president of The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by children, Michele (LaBree) Daniels and her husband, Tim, of Brewer. and Matthew and his wife, Stacy (Jardine) LaBree, of Hampden; his grandchildren, Ryan Elliott, stationed at Dover Air Force Base, Katelan Daniels of Sanford, Chase Daniels of Brewer, Cameron and Alexis LaBree of Hampden; his wife, Veronica (Snowdon) of Florida; siblings, Patricia Sullivan of Cape Coral, Fla., and Donald LaBree of Maine; a nephew, five nieces and friends too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, David, in 1953; and his former wife, Donna (Hoar) LaBree.
