BREWER, Maine — A Lincoln man was summoned on marijuana and paraphernalia possession charges Tuesday night after both reportedly were found in the vehicle he was driving on South Main Street.

Kyle Van Scotter, 25, came to the attention of Brewer police Sgt. Levi Sewall because one of his SUV’s headlights was out, Brewer Cpl. Nelson Feero said Wednesday night, citing a police report.

When Sewall pulled the vehicle over, he allegedly could smell the odor of burned marijuana coming from it, which led to the discovery of the contraband.
