Dave Small of Old Town doesn’t travel far without his camera. In sending his latest offerings he said he could not resist sending one more, slightly different image of the “leaf-folding-chipmunk.” Small said, “I’m still amazed with this little guy.”

“Palm warblers seemed to be everywhere I trekked this summer. Here is one I saw on the Perch Pond Trail off the Kirkland Road.

A weekend trip to Eustis netted Small a few interesting images. First, the little woodhouse’s toad that “affectionately became known as the ‘Big Eddy Road Toad’ among my buddies.”

While riding the back roads, “enjoying the beautiful fall colors in Flagstaff TWP, this view of Kibby Mountain was viewed with it’s wind towers, seemingly dwarfing the mountain and interrupting the fall serenity.”

Small said he took the picture of this bull moose after sunset on route 16. “I pressed my camera to it’s max. The result was not great, but I’ll share it any way,” Small said.

And finally, “You know that I cannot resist a black-capped chickadee. This guy was hanging out in the woods near camp.”
