CAMDEN — The Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League has planned these events:

• The annual Pet Photos with Santa 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Adventure Advertising, Route 1, Rockport. Photographer Joseph Corrado will take your pet’s photo with Santa. The cost is $20 for the first animal in the photo and $10 for each additional pet in the same photo, an 8-inch-by-10-inch unframed portrait.

• The third annual Pound Lock-Up, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Cellardoor Winery in Lincolnville. Many of the midcoast’s most notorious “criminals” will be rounded up and locked in the dog pound for “Crimes of Caring.” Some of them will be your friends or co-workers and they will be begging for you to help them raise bail and get out of jail. This event is open to the public and will feature complimentary hors d’oeuvres provided by Peter Ott’s Steakhouse and Tavern in Camden and wine from the Cellardoor Winery.

• The Animal Rescue League’s second calendar will be released in mid-October. Nationally known photographer Patrisha McLean created the calendar photos, which feature some of the young people in the community who come into the shelter to volunteer and donate..

• CRARL will be kick off its annual Ornaments for Animals sale with a silent auction, bake sale and book signing with Barbara Walsh, author of “Sammy in the Sky” 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Prism Restaurant and Gallery, Route 1, Rockport. Items up for bid will include gift certificates and items donated by businesses and individuals from all over the state. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be provided by Prism. Ornaments will to be available for purchase at local banks until after the holidays.

The Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League recently was accepted to participate in http://www.AdoptAShelter.com, a website that lets users designate the shelter as the recipient of a percentage of purchase dollars directly from hundreds of nationally known stores and online retailers.
