BLUE HILL – Michael H. Winters, a graduate of George Stevens Academy in 1979, died unexpectedly Oct. 3, 2011. He was born July 16, 1960.

He lived his life for his family. Michael could regularly be found in the local cemeteries which he helped maintain, and also could be found in the woods in the off seasons where he cut wood. In his down time Michael enjoyed hunting, target practicing, fishing, and talking with his family on the phone. He truly enjoyed his time with us.

Michael is survived by his mother, Harriet Winters; stepmother, Jackie Winters; his children, Alona Winters and Brandi Ensworth; his siblings, Robert Winters III, Dana Carter, Penny Winters, Deborah Carter, Marvin Webb, Craig Webb, Angela Thompson and Brenda Schmidt; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Logan Flannery; longtime friend, Charlie Blake; and several nieces and nephews in Maine, Alabama and Ohio. Michael was predeceased by his father, Robert Winters II; and his brother, Lance Winters.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at North Blue Hill Cemetery. All that would like to come are welcome.
