Hancock County grand jury hands down 16 indictments

A Blue Hill man with a history of criminal convictions was indicted on six counts of assault, domestic violence, terrorizing and trespassing last week as part of 16 indictments, to 15 people, handed down by the Hancock County grand jury.

Ryan P. Sieber, 35, allegedly entered a home in Lamoine on Aug. 20 and assaulted and threatened two people in the house, one of whom was a family member of his. As a result, Sieber was indicted Thursday on two counts of assault as well as one count each of domestic violence assault, terrorizing, domestic violence terrorizing and aggravated criminal trespass.

In July 2009, Sieber was sentenced to three years in jail with all but 135 days suspended after he pleaded guilty to criminal threatening, assault and violating his bail and the protection order from an incident in December 2008, according to court documents and past news reports. Court documents show that Sieber also was convicted of assaulting an officer in August 2003.

The Hancock County grand jury also handed down indictments against the following:

Nicholas G. Bailey, 23, Bucksport, burglary, theft by unauthorized taking.

Norman E. Bubb, 41, Mount Desert, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, operating a motor vehicle beyond license restriction.

Jacob M. Carney, 20, Machiasport, burglary, theft by unauthorized taking, unauthorized use of property.

Adam M. Gray, 28, Bucksport, unauthorized use of property, violation of conditions of release.

Isreal D. Hall, 32, Ellsworth, burglary, theft by unauthorized taking.

Deric O. Ireland, 21, Bucksport, burglary, theft by unauthorized taking, violation of conditions of release.

Leon B. Jacobs, 38, Bernard, aggravated assault, reckless conduct, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, operating a motor vehicle after suspension, leaving the scene of an accident.

Derek R. Johnson, 29, Winter Harbor, aggravated operating a motor vehicle after revocation, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, violation of conditions of release, failure to sign uniform summons and complaint, failure to give correct name.

Douglas Pio, 53, Ellsworth, assault on an officer, assault.

Jennifer L. Poors, 26, Hancock, stealing drugs, unlawful possession of drugs (two counts), violation of conditions of release.

Kristen L. Rogde, 45, Ellsworth, theft by unauthorized taking.

Brian J. Thelismond, 23, Bucksport, theft by deception, drug trafficking.

John S. Walker, 63, Island Falls, theft by deception, theft by unauthorized taking, theft by misapplication.

Peyton D. Webster, 18, Bucksport, burglary, theft by unauthorized taking.
