Vermont women’s soccer team beats Maine

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Alexandra Dezenzo scored a goal in each half to lift the Vermont Catamounts to 3-1 win over the Maine Black Bears in an America East women’s soccer game Thursday.
Midorio Eckenstein scored the first goal for 4-6-4 Vermont on an assist from Kerry Glynn. Sarah Leiby made two saves on 10 shots.
Nikki Misener scored her first career collegiate goal for 3-6-1 Maine after Jordan Pellerin placed the ball in the box with a cross. Meagan Price-Leibenzeder made two saves on 11 shots.
