BANGOR, Maine — Members of the Bangor Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division were called to an apartment building at the corner of Ohio and Hudson streets to look into what caused two tenants to become ill.

The two people, a man and a woman whose names and ages were not immediately released, reportedly were convulsing and bloody when Bangor Fire Department emergency medical personnel were called to 64 Ohio St. shortly after 7:15 p.m.

The two, who live in the same apartment, were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor police Sgt. Jim Buckley said at the scene. He said the illnesses appeared to be drug-related.

No further information about their medical conditions was available late Wednesday night.
