Turning wine into books

Sweetgrass Farm Winery and Distillery made a $500 donation to Vose Library's Annual Appeal, in support of library operations. On Oct. 1 in the William Pullen Children's Room of Union's community library are (from left) Madeleine Bodine, Grant Bodine and Keith Bodine of Sweetgrass Farm, Vose Library President Jane Sigsbee, Vose Library Director Sue McClintock, and Hamish Bodine. Sweetgrass Farm Winery and Distillery is on Carroll Road in Union. The award-winning family-run business donates 10 percent of profits to organizations which support families, children and rural life. Vose Library serves Union and surrounding towns in a new facility at 392 Common Road, where increasing numbers of patrons, new and old, are making use of all the services the library has to offer.
