NANCY J. TARBOX

CARIBOU – Nancy J. Tarbox, 66, died Oct. 3, 2011. She was born June 4, 1945, in Ashland, daughter of the late Leonard and Marjorie (Skidgel) Long.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her six children.

She is survived by her four sons and two daughters-in-law, Leon and Missy Tarbox, and Lucas and Rena Tarbox, all of Washburn, Lyn Tarbox of Caribou, and Lewis Tarbox and his fiancee, Susan Smith, of Westford, Mass.; two daughters, Robin Tarbox and Rose Tarbox, both of Caribou; six brothers, Lewis Long, George Long, Paul Williams, all of Caribou, Henry Long, Leo Long and Teddy Long, all of Washburn; one sister, Sadie Grisle of Baytown, Texas; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Tarbox, in 2004.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, from the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Perham.
