BAR HARBOR, Maine — David Feldman, a faculty member in math and physics at College of the Atlantic, has received a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture in Rwanda in 2012. He will be working in the department of applied physics at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology in the capital of Rwanda.
According to the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, Feldman is one of approximately 1,100 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar program this academic year.
Feldman will teach classes in computational and statistical physics and will work with senior physics majors to prepare them for graduate school.
Feldman has been teaching at COA since he received his doctorate in physics in 1998 from the University of California at Davis. From 2003 to 2007, he served as COA’s associate dean for academic affairs.
