BANGOR, Maine — Folks at Hollywood Slots will now have something new to enjoy as off-track betting is coming to the Bangor racino’s main building thanks to a change approved unanimously by the Maine Harness Racing Commission.

The changes, which take affect on Nov. 1, will allow Hollywood Slots to simulcast horse races at the track on Buck Street and at its Main Street facility in a newly constructed area off the casino floor.

The change will only affect Hollywood Slots’ license for the remainder of this year, as officials will have to apply for a new license in November 2012.
