WATERVILLE — The Colby College Mules shut out the University of Southern Maine 4-0 on Wednesday, giving coach Mark Serdjenian his 250th career victory.
Eric Barthold’s first-half goal off an Andrew Woonton assist proved the only one the 4-2 Mules would need. Serdjenian, a 1973 Colby graduate, has a career record of 250-207-43 in 36 seasons with the program.
Chris Pratt, Charlie Dupee and Jake Lukach scored a goal apiece for Colby, with Matt Boyes-Watson and Eric Barthold providing assists. Ben Joslin and Peter Quayle combined to make three saves on six shots.
Jeremy Turner, Alex Charette and Ian Dollen-Ovieto teamed up to make 13 saves on 32 shots for the University of Southern Maine of Gorham (2-7).
St. Joseph’s 2, Suffolk 1
At Somerville, Mass., Zach Johnson’s goal with 24 minutes left in the second half gave the Monks the margin of victory.
Jesse West scored the other goal for 6-2 Saint Joseph’s of Standish, while Russ Suleski and Ryan Jordan contributed assists. Kenny Grade made 10 saves.
Danny Lloyd scored on a penalty kick for 3-7 Suffolk. James Potter posted 11 saves.
Colby 5, Thomas 0
At Waterville, Sarah Falkof’s goal 3:17 into the game provided the only goal the Mules would need to beat their crosstown rivals.
Caroline Chessare, Courtney Erskine, Lauren Zion and Caitlin Murray scored one goal apiece for 1-4 Colby. Zion and Caroline Keaveney provided assists while Michelle Burt made one saves on five shots.
Sofia Sourgiadakis and Jasmine Bishop combined to make 15 saves and faced 31 shots for 4-5 Thomas.
So. Maine 2, Salem State 0
At Gorham, Kailey Bubier scored a goal in each half, propelling the Huskies to victory.
Kayla Kennedy made one save on one shot to earn her fifth shutout of the season for 6-5 University of Southern Maine.
Michaela Boyer made 15 saves on 23 shots for 3-4 Salem State.
UNE 2, UM-Farmington 1
At Farmington, Erin Bibber scored an unassisted goal with 15:49 remaining, lifting the Nor’easters to victory.
Emily Koehler scored in the first half for 10-0 University of New England of Biddeford. Kaitlyn Warren made seven saves on nine shots.
Kaitlyn Bullen scored on a Kashley Wemouth assist for 4-3 University of Maine-Farmington. Curran Brierley made nine saves and faced 16 shots.
Bates 5, Husson 0
At Lewiston, Tina Tobin scored twice in the second half to punctuate the Bobcats’ victory over the Eagles.
Lauren Dobish and Dakota Donovan scored first-half goals for 1-2-2 Bates, while Alix Vandeventer scored in the second half. Julia Rafferty, Bud Arens, Nikki Brill and Kara Stefaniak provided an assist each.
Annie Burns made two saves on nine shots.
Sarah Laplante and Jessica Poulin combined to make 11 saves on 36 shots for 2-8 Husson University of Bangor.

At Gorham, Katie Caron scored once in each half to lead the Nor’easters to victory over the Huskies.
Lauren Blaisdell and Sarah Richardson scored goals for 7-1-1 University of New England of Biddeford. Nicole Faircloth contributed two assists.
Jess Woodworth and Sara Papapietro did not face any shots.
Kat Rothe made six saves on 16 shots for 2-7 University of Southern Maine.

At Boston, Danielle Daigle scored two goals to power the Monks to victory.
Lauren Chouinard scored once for 4-2-2 Saint Joseph’s College of Standish. Kim Jordan added an assist while Jaci Lorenzen made ieght saves.
Ashley Wheeler posted 12 saves for 3-6 Simmons.
