WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, ranking member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, is encouraging small-business owners and entrepreneurs to check out a new “Guide to Small Business Contracting” for information on how to navigate the federal procurement process.

The guide can be accessed online at http://snowe.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/files/serve?File_id=cddf6a8b-e2bb-428b-a666-7f70930934d6,.

Snowe recently assembled the guide to better explain the government contracting process for Maine’s small businesses who might be able to take advantage of such work opportunities.

“My hope is that this guide will be a useful and constructive tool for small businesses across Maine who are interested in new or additional work opportunities,” Snowe said in a press release.
