Planned power interruption moved up in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD, Maine — A planned interruption of power along Route 192 here has been moved up from Friday, Sept. 30, to Wednesday, Sept. 28, according to Bangor Hydro-Electric Co.

The outage to conduct upgrades to the electric system is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will last no more than 10 minutes, officials with the company said in a press release issued Tuesday.

The change “is necessary due to the need to correct a small but important issue related to the line,” the release states. “Friday’s planned outage will no longer be necessary.”

The areas affected include Bog Lake, Foulton Lake Road, Eastern Ridge Road, Cottage Road and Northfield Road.
