PORTLAND, Maine — Police have returned to a coastal Maine town to search for any more evidence in the death of a 24-year-old woman.

The remains of Elena Lozada of Portland were found in April in the woods in Northport off of Route 52.

The Portland Press Herald reports Lt. Gary Rogers said Maine State Police were searching the area for any more evidence they may have missed when Lozada’s remains were found. Rogers said Portland police continue to work with state officials on this case.

Lozada disappeared in July 2010. It wasn’t until February when someone came forward with information regarding her disappearance and death.

No one has been charged with causing her death.
