AUGUSTA, Maine — A Windsor man who was already in trouble for robbing a woman in the parking lot of a general store has added more charges to his rap sheet after failing to report to jail.

Kenneth J. Dulac, 59, allegedly had been on the loose from June 30, when his jail term was slated to begin, until Sept. 15, when he was arrested at the Togus veterans hospital, according to a Kennebec Journal report.

Dulac remains in the Kennebec County Correctional Facility.

The aforementioned robbery occurred around 4:40 p.m. June 14, 2010, when Dulac approached a 60-year-old woman who was sitting in her car outside Hussey’s and demanded her purse at gunpoint.

The woman refused and Dulac took off, and according to police, Dulac stole change from a Hussey’s employee’s motor vehicle that same day.

Dulac was sentenced on May 10 to eight years behind bars with all but 18 months suspended and three years probation, and if he is convicted of the new charge, he faces a maximum of five additional years in jail. printed on April 29, 2017
