BELFAST, Maine — Businesspeople from around the region are invited to attend a resource forum on Wednesday, Sept. 21, to receive information about available programs relating to employee recruitment, training and business taxation.

This is the second in an ongoing series of forums aimed at businesses and employers called Strengthening Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Development. The event is designed to inform small-business owners about state and federal work force development and training initiatives and about state and federal tax assistance programs.

It is sponsored by Our Town Belfast, the University of Maine and the City of Belfast in partnership with U.S. Sen. Olympia J. Snowe, The Maine Coast Economic Alliance, the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce and the Penobscot Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.
