‘Get Connected & Stay Connected’

ROCKPORT — The Midcoast Chapter of Maine Women’s Network announce the first of its “Get Connected & Stay Connected” speaker series. The season will kick off at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at The Haven Event Center, with keynote speaker Susan Baracco, founder of Maine Million Dollar Women’s Forum and of Echelon Circle, which is a membership organization for success-minded women professionals — www.echeloncircles.com.

Baracco will highlight success principles that serve as the foundation for powerful connection by sharing real stories of notable and successful business, public and non-profit women leaders with whom she has collaborated. Members, guests, and the general public are invited to enjoy dinner to be served while attending the meeting at the Haven Event Center on Route 90 in Rockport. Meetings run from 5:15 until about 7:30.

At each meeting, attendees will experience keynote speakers or engage in workshop style programs that provide insightful practices and information on networking and offer opportunities to participate in fun exercises that will put these networking skills to work immediately in a safe and light-hearted environment. These meetings attract an audience of 35 to 45 women each month who represent a fantastic cross section of professionals, artisans, practitioners and non-profit leaders in the midcoast area. Through engaging with each other at these monthly meetings attendees have a regular opportunity to build an extended network, strengthen existing relationships, and in general enhance their ability to get connected and stay connected.

Baracco is a serial entrepreneur who likes to describe her current adventure as ‘collecting successful women for a living’. She founded the Maine Million Dollar Women’s Forum in 2008, founded Echelon Circles in 2009 and is establishing the first Maine chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization in Portland this fall. Baracco has owned a liquor store, two franchises, lead several non-profits as board president, and volunteers for The Center for Women & Enterprise in Boston. She was chosen in May to serve a two-year term on Key4Women’s National Advisory Board. Her eclectic background provides a depth of experiences and numerous opportunities to meet and connect women throughout Maine and beyond.

Midcoast Chapter member Karen Brace, of the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerence sponsors this meeting.

The cost, which includes dinner, time for networking and the presentation, is $22 for members, $30 for guests and or non-members. Non-members are always welcome.
