Fair Fleece Tent will appeal to yarn lovers

UNITY, Maine — Celebrate rural living at the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association’s 35th annual Common Ground Country Fair Friday through Sunday, Sept. 23-25. Not to be missed by fiber lovers is the Fleece Tent, showcasing Maine-grown wool and specialty fibers. The sale is ongoing 9 a.m.-6 pm. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday. There will be informal fiber talks and demonstrations. Fleece judging will be at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Visit the Wednesday Spinners and the Fiber Marketplace, both adjacent to the Fleece Tent; the booths in the Maine Fiber Farms area; and the many fiber businesses in the Maine agriculture booths area. Fair goers are invited to an open spin with the Wednesday Spinners 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.
